Our Story

Brandon and I first met in the 3rd grade when his family moved across the street of our elementary school.  We had a lot of the same friends at school, but never particularly got along. It wasn't until the summer before 8th grade that Brandon and I really got to know each other. Somewhere among the numerous group hangouts at the pool, mini golf, and the movies, I started to develop a little crush on Brandon... Braces and all :) We flirted back and forth all the way up to Valentine's day, when he finally got the courage to "ask me out." I said yes, of course :)
Brandon and I dated all through high school and went to every single school dance together. We both anxiously waited in anticipation as the MLB Draft date quickly approached that summer before our senior year. We knew Brandon had a good chance to go high in the draft, but we nothing was set in stone. Brandon had a full ride to play baseball at Louisiana State University in the fall, so we were very unsure what our future will hold.
Well, Brandon ended up being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 2005 MLB draft (13th pick overall). It was such an amazing day for Brandon and his family. It was extremely emotional and I was so happy to spend it with him.

So Brandon went off to Rookie Ball for the Orioles, and I went off to my freshman year at Virginia Tech. Over the next 4 years, we definitely had our share of ups and downs. We took some time apart, but always found our way back to each other. We both changed, grew up, but still somehow managed to grow together...
Fast forward over 10 years from that Valentine's day in 8th grade, and I can honestly say that I am still madly in love with my best friend. We were married October 29th, 2011 - it was the best day of my life!

This past off season Brandon was traded to the Texas Rangers! We are excited for this new adventure and all that's to come. Big changes can also bring big opportunities! And you know what they say... everything's bigger in Texas!
